with satisfactory job completion Smarterwork's payment system works for
the benefit of both those wanting work done (Clients) and those completing the
work (Service Providers). At Smarterwork Clients pay only when they have signed
off a project deliverable. Smarterwork's payment system also assures Service
Providers that they will be paid on time for their quality services.
Payment process is
controlled Smarterwork ensures this process by using a holding account,
which forms part of our unique payment system. As agreed in the Service
Providers Quote (start or end of a deliverable), the Client pays the agreed fee
into this holding account where it stays until the successful completion of the
deliverable, whereupon Smarterwork makes payment to the Service Provider.
Moderation If
as a Client you are not satisfied with the quality of the work, and are unable
to resolve this directly with the Service Provider, you can invoke the
Moderation Procedure, to settle the dispute. The Service Provider may also
invoke the Moderation Procedure should the Client be unwilling to sign-off the
project deliverable. Smarterwork uses an independent third-party moderator, who
will review the project and decide over the quality of the work or service
delivered.
2. Quality of Service
Providers
Service Providers are
Screened and Tested Smarterwork, unlike most players in the market,
actively screens and selects the Service Providers. We aim to find the right
Service Providers and screen them through an online certification process to
evaluate whether they are qualified to deliver professional services. Please
note that for the legal and tax categories we are not testing the Service
Providers but we rather ask them to submit information to show that they are
qualified to render tax and/or legal advice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Profiles are Made
Available Service Providers qualified with Smarterwork provide a detailed
online profile that Clients can view when making their selection. This profile
includes details of work experience and examples of previous work. Also, every
time a Project is completed, we ask the Client to provide feedback on the
Service Provider they have worked with. This feedback also forms part of the
Service Provider's online profile and is viewable by other Clients.
Service Providers are
Quality-Rated All Service Providers are rated by the Clients who have
worked with them, on a scale from 1 to 4 (where 4 is excellent), on the basis of
the quality of the individual projects they have delivered. The Service
Provider's average quality rating for his or her last 10 completed projects is
recorded and is available for viewing by all Clients prior to assigning a
Project.
Communication between
Client and Service Provider Before selecting a Service Provider to work
on a project, Clients can communicate directly with different Service Providers
using Smarterwork's private message board facility where they can exchange as
many messages as they wish. During this process, Service Providers can give
specific examples of work they have done and additional details of their
qualification for the specific job. This allows Clients an exchange of very
detailed information about the Service Providers before making a final
selection.
3. Support and Customer
Care
Briefing Support
Smarterwork provides dedicated briefing templates for each specific type
of service. This gives Service Providers all the information they need to
provide the Client with a comprehensive bid and ultimately to complete the
project successfully. Our team of Account Managers are always on hand to provide
any assistance required in writing the brief or describing the work that needs
to be done.
Customer Care
Department Smarterwork also has an in-house team of customer care
specialists who are available to ensure Clients and Service Providers enjoy a
smooth outsourcing process using the Smarterwork platform. They also assist in
navigating around the site and provide instant help with all technical matters.
